YOUR POEMS AWAKEN ME

HIDDING
is a word that may
have described me
until you caught my
eye with your poetry.
YOU
dared, from my perspective,
to cross boundaries most
considered taboo and
closed minds remained sealed.
YOU
presented a beautiful
picture of the human body,
all bodies and all ages,
who were  passionate
and lovers beyond the words
some labeled them with.
For most of my life I'd heard
a "mind is a terrible thing to waste".;
I took that as academic and
went for the grade and degrees.
BUT
you my amazing liberator have
set me free, I  may have a few
more steps to take. But
I'm on my way. Meet me at
the Kissing Place and open
me some more to freedom.
