Turbulent Times
Two damaged souls trying to live a whole life together
Attempting to stay tethered during inclement weather
Like when their mothers died just two days apart
It seems, since then, the storms don't depart
Is this the latter part of for better or for worse
Where still waters ripple and you must stay the course
Of course that's easier said than done under the blazing Sun
Where two entities are metaphorically trying to stay one
While under the gun with rounds bursting at rapid fire
Ducking for cover and seeking shelter as to not expire
Tired and weary but still have the ability to persevere
With a gymnast's agility, evading negative energy as they steer
