Pumpkin
Perfectly perfect,
Pretty pumpkin patch.
Probably pessimistic,
But you'll get mashed.
Cut and shredded
Into a fixed position,
A crooked smile
All part of a vision.
No choice,
No options,
Shaped and carved
Into a fixed arrangement.
Out of your control
It decides how you look
And act
And feel
And every single attribute
Determined by the otherworldly figure
With a carving tool, ready to disfigure.
Jumping with joy,
Released from jail,
Jealousy fills all with a similar manner,
The people who look at the crafted Jack-O-Lantern.
