Theo explains his history.
“I have been excited by the science of vampires and the hormone patterns through the history of the families.” He started, “when I knew that was what I wanted to study I took several courses during my university phase. This began around the 1800’s. Each time I wanted to take another course I changed my appearance and my name so there is no trail between the different universities and my different academic degrees.”
“Does this mean you have had to change both courses and universities to get the qualifications?” Dirk asked.
“After the first course all my degrees were taken at post graduate level. I have two doctorates and have been a professor three times so that my work has been noted and recorded but not under my names.” Theo explained.
“What did you major in?” Dirk queried.
“It didn’t work like that,” he added, “when I discovered something that needed explaining, that is what I did. Research and write a paper on it. If it was solely pertaining to us, it was never lodged in any university but each paper is readily available to any vampire. If the work was to do with hormones and vitamin reactions that could be applied in the fields that have broadened the knowledge, they have been published, and where appropriate, my college and my professorship are regarded as the owner and recipient of any fees that derive there from, often as the publishers do most of that work.” Theo explained.
Theo took a short break and visited Penny to have some blood and spent some time getting her to boiling point and beyond.
When he returned Dirk did not know how to broach was on his mind so he took the blunt option.
“Do you prefer women than men?” he asked.
“Did you ask that because my face has a certain effeminate look about it?” He smiled as he said that which saved Dirk from getting a red face.
Dirk said “I did get the impression that you might prefer men. Sorry if I jumped to that conclusion but Aubrey has had me both ways so I am a little lost that I don’t seem able to figure that out.”
Theo laughed, “Yes this is the benefit of a long life. Aubrey has sampled every kind of sex life but he also can taste your trustworthiness. That is why you get along so well with him.
