I think no one is safe from illness, as we poets are all easy prey to bipolar disorders, me included,
But, this is not a strong reason enough to make one desperate and loose control over the self.
As long as we breathe, we can always change a bad habit and wish for good future to happen.
We only live by optimism, otherwise we would be already be eaten by worms..

I respect your opinion. However, for me, it’s more about reflection and sorrow because I’m really old now and the things I could’ve done when I wanted to do them, are now physically impossible, and so that’s some of the regret, and then another regret is the fact that I could’ve become someone, but never did, for many many dumb reasons.  
Lastly my choice of mates have always been volatile, and that is one, of the two biggest regrets. Thanks for your optimism. Just saying, and it’s nice to meet you by the way. Thanks for stopping by and leaving your thoughts. Much appreciated poeticdelight.

If we fail to fulfill what we can with physical capacity, we  can
do better with mental force, we can write, we can feel, we can think and more blessings ,we still enjoy,
there are people wheelchair bound, and they are at the first trail blazers names, so we can with what we have, compensate for waht we fail to accomplish, we are better with the least we have,; we poets

All of that is true however, I am a doomsday poet. It’s where I shine. And so, when I’m at a low point is when I write. Don’t ask me why, because I still don’t know, I just do.

We all have regrets and have felt at times like a failure, but truth is...life puts pressure only on those who have objectives and goals on a personal level. Me?!... I'm resting and reclining in the moments, daily...because I'm too old to give a fuck about things I can't change!

It’s just I’m nearing 60! Eeek! I am physically much older. Hopefully this year brings new things.

Hi Zazzles:) relatable write. Yes, regrets we have many.

I call BS sis. You are just trying to lure me in so you can smack me upside the head like when we were kids, and laugh at my gullibility.  What a pissah, laughed at by my sistah.

All kidding aside - if writing about what ails you helps then great. Get it out. But you are not broken, maybe a ding or two, but certainly fixable.  You MA ladies are tough - giving as much or more than you get...! Dust off the sleeves and keep going to the pahty of life. Big hug, Sis.

As poetry goes, awesome work - if you can draw out thought and emotion you have written well.

It’s free therapy here at the Underground and since joining I come here for many different reasons. When I’m drinking for one, and I’m in touch with my feelings, I let it rip. In this game of life, I do believe I am a good person and believe there is still a chance or many chances, to enjoy my life and life for what it is. When I vent this way, I try not to complain, but to convey my feelings at the moment. I certainly have nothing to complain about, I live in Gloucester Massachusetts, I have wild eagles, flying overhead on any given day,  
the ocean is my back yard- I live in a moderate to small community where people say good morning and have manners. Where people pull together to make sure everyone has. Where crime is practically nonexistent. A place where family owned restaurants out weigh fast food and have just one fast food restaurant in town, yup only one . it’s a place where people care about their Community and neighbors. The vibe here is surreal, every day I leave out of my house and venture out. I can’t help but say out loud to my mate. I am so blessed to be here. I love it here and  it never gets old. There are nine beaches here in Gloucester, Massachusetts. I mean rhey say Gloucester mass is practically an island. I truly hit the Massachusetts lottery when I applied to move here and was accepted!  
I can and will say this, nothing that gets thrown at me based on some of my writings, could ever derail and or devour the happiness and peace that comes from where I live today. Leo ♥️
