Go To Bed

sadness often prevails
with nothing to quench it
I wait as it rolls as waves over my wounds
acidic meant to burn the soul permanently
there is no noble lesson here

just overkill

If you don't love, leave me to my pretty prison
exiled here from the Royal Court
set aside like Anne Boleyn
taken in chains to the abyss
while they boo and hiss
and for the amusement of one I burned

I wonder now, do you?
how I still exist
my answer is simply put

it's to spite you

if evicted from the earth
I will take purchase elsewhere
finding love in any dominion I find myself
you call me a glutton
because you force-fed me restraints

it is not I gorging on human misery
I would like a good look at you
I've encountered you many times through space
at the root are you just a tyrant?
emotionally stuffing your face?

striking for popularity
who puts you to bed after you get drunk off sorrow?
