Oppressed
Imagine
Being in whatever your favourite place is
Living in constant fear
That a bomb
May land on you
At any given moment
Night, or day
Day in, day out
Week in, week out
Whilst the entire infrastructure
Of where you live
Is gradually, and brutally
Eradicated
Little, or no food, or water
No medicines, for your son, or daughter
As the country you were born in
Becomes a wasteland
As clouds of oppression
Rains down on you daily
Where countries that could help you
Don't
As they have a vested interest
In your oppressors
More concerned
In loss of power, or income
Than loss of human life
The world
Is losing its soul
As the cool winds of humanity
Slowly dissipates
Into the empty void
Of oppression
