Another Origami Butterfly
I saw my little friend at the park again today.
She gave me another origami butterfly and,
looking back to her mother, said,
“Baby on board.” We all smiled.
When Joseph came home for lunch,
I showed him the butterfly and we folded
into one another for a little mid-day release.
When Joseph kissed my stomach,
I thought of that little girl, and
wondered what her life would become.
