FREEDOM FROM PERFECTION

In times past I was
caught in the grips
of needing to be perfect
and doing everything
perfect. 99 was not a
good grade I needed 100.
I had to come in first
because no one remembers
who came in second.
Dress, grooming, speech
and all externals had
to be perfect; even the
people I associated with
on a personal level had
to enhance my desire to
be flawless. Dates that didn't
qualify or enhance my
quest for perfection were
removed from my phone list.
BUT!
One day in a swallow of
poverty were families were
living in cardboard and scrap
wood "houses"  where
a friend had encouraged me
to visit in Brazil, I began my
journey to FREEDOM FROM
PERFECTION. I am now being
challenged by going in the
other direction. I am so happy
as a member of the majority
of Imperfect People. Let's meet
at the Kissing Place and share
our imperfections.
