The Rock and The Flower

I do love the mountain
Crowned with ivory snow
And a fresh fountain
The crystal waters flow

I like to see the sunset
Sinking deep and low
The dawn is just perfect
The lovely flowers grow

And the silent shy moon
Silver beam in the night
Upon the tree a dove croon
Serenade to the missed knight

Enchantment in the forest
With lovely chirp and crow
The songs of every chorist
Beauty's natural and raw

The deep furrows lie fallow
In the summer calm evenings
Where a tree still is standing
Green among burnt shadows

The Autumn mist quite mystic
Eerie tales 'round a shroud
And the vision heavenly cryptic
When earth recently ploughed

A ghostly smoke in the deep lake
Where the waters moving slow
A mirror of the one's reflection
The human spirit behaving so......

Yes, and yet i love the high plains
Where the solid rocks do grow
And below grow tender flowers
Wisdom is only high and low.....
