Captivated
Just arrived home from a long day
And I see my beautiful wife
I tell her the things i want to say
As she stares at me with eternal life
She's waiting at the kitchen table
I'll make dinner for her and I
Sometimes she's unable
And too reticent to give a try
She listens so intently
And she never ever complains
I touch her face so gently
My love for her remains
In my soul and in my heart
Where it will always be
Nothing will ever tear us apart
She is everything to me
I'm tired and it's getting late
I'll carry her off to bed
Dreams of passion await
But tonight i hold her instead
Despite what we've been through
She keeps me captivated
Her head next to me askew
As she lays there decapitated
And I see my beautiful wife
I tell her the things i want to say
As she stares at me with eternal life
She's waiting at the kitchen table
I'll make dinner for her and I
Sometimes she's unable
And too reticent to give a try
She listens so intently
And she never ever complains
I touch her face so gently
My love for her remains
In my soul and in my heart
Where it will always be
Nothing will ever tear us apart
She is everything to me
I'm tired and it's getting late
I'll carry her off to bed
Dreams of passion await
But tonight i hold her instead
Despite what we've been through
She keeps me captivated
Her head next to me askew
As she lays there decapitated
