Misery

Leave me in my misery  
Alone and left undead  
Punishing my reality  
And haunt the life I dread  
   
Chances deny my death  
And tease my slowing blood  
Stuck with everlasting breath  
Rain tortures my tears that flood  
   
My mind escapes and I erase  
The future doesn't deserve me  
My life continues and I race  
For death is my fantasy  
   
Day by day and night by night  
I'm searching for some peace  
When death comes I won't fight  
Please make my misery cease  
   
Shadows are laughing at me  
And the echoing wind blows  
Stuck between now and eternity  
I exist where nobody knows  
   
Destiny is not for me to choose  
I'm lost here heart and mind  
My life with no love to lose  
The answers I can not find  
   
So now the past has passed  
And the future is also done  
Years and years have confused the last  
From the present I'm trying to run  
   
But as I try my skeletons control me  
And keep me imprisoned here  
There is a way that I can see  
To live life without this fear  
   
Erase the future and my destiny  
And replace the past with less reality  
Plans reveal my final mystery  
As I burn away this misery
