Heaven Above, and Earth Below

I walked the gardens 'twixt the graves
and came upon the one, not saved.
The query posed was of a love;
she, in Earth, 'neath Heav'n above.

Such words did set my mind to ponder--
mine heart once beat with his, back yonder
when he still walked the Earth with me
and Heav'n was too far to reach.

And now the veil 'tween worlds is thin,
I see in dreams, the Heav'n he's in,
and feel the Earth still 'neath mine feet
goodbye, my love, 'til again, we meet.
