Winter Sun
I can't believe how warm it is today
As though winter has withered and died
I guess while it's warm I can dream
But I know that winter never gives up the ghost
So early
And we'll likely pay for this balmy day
With a foot of snow
And bitter cold
Oh well
While the sidewalk is clear I think I'll go for a walk
And greet my winter pale neighbours
As they stick noses outdoors
For a little sniff of spring
So warm your cold souls
And thank your God
For the sunshine
As though winter has withered and died
I guess while it's warm I can dream
But I know that winter never gives up the ghost
So early
And we'll likely pay for this balmy day
With a foot of snow
And bitter cold
Oh well
While the sidewalk is clear I think I'll go for a walk
And greet my winter pale neighbours
As they stick noses outdoors
For a little sniff of spring
So warm your cold souls
And thank your God
For the sunshine
