This World of Sin

She turned and saw the look in her eye.
Then bowed her head and would start to cry.
For she knew in her heart she would never be hers.
Her feelings were warped and not returned.
In this world there are many "sins".

Homosexuality slides itself in
To take a win
in this world of sin.

Her feelings could not be put into words.
All she felt was the urge to die.
But then there she stood and wondered why.
Why couldn’t she feel the same way about her?
Why couldn’t her feelings be put into words?

Could she make it
Through the day?
Knowing her feelings
To be put away?

Foreign feelings,
She knew to be wrong.
What about this feeling felt so right?
What made this feeling fit to fight?

Her parents frowned
Upon the thought.
Their daughter was different.
The way she’d been taught
In this world of sin.

Though, they didn’t get it.
She'd never win.
Her feelings weren’t even known.
She'd never win.

Not in any world
But her own.
