SEARCHING FOR THE MISSING NUMBER

I have been searching,
looking "high and low",
led on "wild goose chases",
made promises that we're kept.
I have one half of the number
but need the other half to
have the perfect number.
I've had it once or twice but
it has slipped away.
I have held tightly to
my half, my 34 1/2 in search
of the other 34 1/2, together
will make the perfect number:
69! OH! Where is it?
If you have it meet me at
the kissing place and we'll
combine our numbers.
