Under Giant Trees

Nature’s wonder by heaven acclaim
created by Him, the majesty of the universe
filled with treasures untold
wondrous animals and giant trees

Sequoiadendron giganteum non-tropical
stranger to the lush sultry domain
of trees and vines and bushes and grass
yet sometimes trees are mobile too

Giant sequoias ancient majesties
a head above the others
crowns of green a testament
of strength and stature

through their ancient rings
their age discerned
they’ve towered over the elders
proudly facing the sun

and we puny humans stand
under the awning of its branches
breathes in the freshness
of the air from its huge green lungs.
