time
neither friend
nor foe
time is the orchestra
accompanying our
concerto we play
through
life
moving like water
flowing downstream
gaining momentum
through the
force of
life
billions upon billions
of lives
each looking
searching
desperately holding
on by the thinnest
of threads to;
an improbable
dream
a wasted
hope
an unfulfilled want
arriving like a blind
savior
the avalanche of
humanity
reaching out for
the stars
only to find
darkness
but yet,
we continue
on
singing a song
for the day
a song for the
night
the most beautiful
song known to
God

Looking at the world and understanding life in a more after a certain number of years (so as to not get lost in the nostalgia of it all) is a more pragmatic, productive approach. We live, we cried, we loved and hopefully we laughed somewhere in between.
