Image for the poem Blush

Blush

I dress my vulnerability in shadows
hoping to cloak my deep need
you peer and see my soul trembling
and with an arrogant stance
standing my ground

I didn't want you to see my weakness

I think. darlin you're trouble
you caught me off guard
and got inside my hidden desire
spoke to my soul in hushed tones

of pleasure and sex

with an urgency my pnuema respond
darkly passionate I crave
you knew what I needed

I was afraid

secrets wispered in the dark
would be performed upon my flesh
entertaining my demons I plead

you were merciful

answering my want with a greed of your own
giving more than you took
you touch my inner woman
until I came undone in your presence

my blush covering nothing
I became yours in all my honesty
