Cage Striped Heart

My world’s so far away
Living in a parallel home
I’m hoping you’ll stay
Always on my asylum mind
How you move me even when
We’re so far apart
Locked down in a different town

Penitentiary art
Penitentiary art
Wondering where you are
And what you’re doing
Strumming bars on
My Cage Striped Heart

Phasing through concrete
Playing my heart out
Knowing you’ll hear me
Cause no one else sounds like me

I’ve got nothing but time
But I don’t want to wait
Your voice unlocks my
Paradise steel gate
Free of hate and liars
Behind razor barbed wire
Everything was so still
There was nothing until

Penitentiary art
Penitentiary art
Movement into music
Strumming bars on
My Cage Striped Heart
Wondering where you are

Phasing across the ocean
Contemplation into motion
Playing my cage striped heart
Like a harp, knowing you’ll hear me

Author's Note
I had a great Thanksgiving break:) Went to see the ocean, shopped a little and
decorated a Christmas Tree at Mark's place.
I haven't written any lyrics in a while.
Thought I'd give it a try.

Hope you enjoy:)
