Apollo's Advice
If you must wage another war
declare it on despair;
declare it hard and evermore
for all the victims there!
Pronounce yourself as nonpareil
at taking out the trash
or gallant at the gates of hell
when evil prints its cash...
to spend it on the sorts of things
good people never need,
like auto-tune and bankster blings
and likewise tasteless greed.
Perhaps good cause will call your name
and lobby all your strength,
for a jurisprudential claim
in waves at heartbreak length.
Then surely step up to the plate
(be worthy for the weak)
and cast no hate upon your fate
when you might turn a cheek...
much like the Greek who lost an eye
in battle sure and true...
when queried came his quick reply
of thanking Zeus for two!
declare it on despair;
declare it hard and evermore
for all the victims there!
