Christ was Greek all along it seems;

and inter-tribal blame...

from one sky god to another
and that which they revere
soon estranged one from the other
a little more each year.

Then Babel towers rose again
for litanies of abstract love
from monolithic ape like men,
and, the insularity thereof...

whereby we got such diverse gods
to meet all mortal needs
like vanquishing with rifle squads...
the meek and all their creeds.
