Mourning Thoughts
I have arrived.
In the spaces between everything.
Suspended in both the sweet bliss and stark horror
the nothingness can bring.
I've searched and scoured the astral plane
for pieces of you.
But your energy remains like a strange galactic dew.
Or do your soul's remnants exist solely
in the confines of my mind?
Is the universe really that unkind?
Don't answer.
There is never definitive proof that there is more.
I'm tangled in the eternal dissection of the mysteries
that hound my core.

The loss of loved ones leave empty acres in spaces that at one time had smiles.

Nice one, Debbie. As long as you remember him he'll always be alive. That's what I believe when I think about my Mum.
Much love 💐

Re. Mourning Thoughts
It is a nice thought that lost love ones could be reached in a 3rd dimension somehow. 🙏

Again, you do a good job of capturing a creative perspective. Wondering about truth and purpose can ultimately make one question what's uncertain, and I get some of that from here. I'm sorry that you miss your father. It can be lonely, empty, depressing, and feel like nothingness. That's sort of how people deal with death, I guess. Loved ones are thought of, and it leads to inquiring about where they go, or what happens to them, or will you see them again. Those thoughts can lead to the unraveling mystery of life on earth and in the universe, and why. The interjection of that simply hasn't happened yet - truth and purpose, that is. With all of that said, your choice of metaphor creates an abounding affinity and yearning desire to express some of those feelings. You represent conceptualization and ideas very well with how you choose to approach addressing this thing on your mind. The emotional part, in general, is layered nicely in the transition of the theme and direction. Some personal narrative is in there as well. Has human qualities to it. Overall, succinct, concise work here that comes from a deep impact or impression. Mourning and grieving is a part of life, and it affects everyone at some point. Anyway, thanks for sharing, and I hope to read more from you!

Thank you ever so much for that feedback. It makes me feel creatively organized, lol - when I'm really a mess. I appreciate everything you detail, as I don't really have formal knowledge of poetry. Everything you said is very true in me writing that piece.
Have a great night!
