Another War

It's difficult to be sympathetic toward a part of the world that so rarely demonstrates any sympathy to their neighbors.

I get that, but directly or indirectly it affects us all. There must be another way to move forward.

I hope so too, but I'm as stymied as everyone else.

If only…
We share one planet. You would think we would find a way to work together, but it has never been this way.

Hopefully that doesn't mean it'll always be this way. But, yes, this is an age old problem that doesn't seem to go away.

I'm sorry. I think there are helplines where you can reach out and speak to someone. The BBC usually have some helpful websites at the end of recent news programmes.
When I heard people in London were celebrating the attacks in the streets at the weekend, that was upsetting to me.

another war, i blame the politicians  

There are a lot of parties involved.

Israel has lost me. Life-long supporter and will always support her right to live, but they've had most of my life to come up with a two-state solution and they are not even trying to make that happen. Enough already. No more holocausts. I am with Gaza on this one. It would be like the ones of us who did not vote for the red-hatters to be punished for their mutitudinously egregious sins.

We've already started seeing refugees from Palestine here in the UK.  
My biggest fear is that this war is creating another generation of bitter, angry victims who will want revenge at any cost. Perfectly understandable but also perfectly avoidable with a two state solution. And the cycle of hatred goes on...

Another reason for people who cannot undiscover gods of any stripe.
Sad state of affairs when religions claim they can't talk to the "other" side.

There are so many hypocrites out there. It often goes hand in hand with having these deep beliefs.
Regarding the "other" side, it isn't always the case. Sometimes it's one religion but different denominations. This has been going on for centuries.
Aren't we supposed to learn from past mistakes? Evolve to unite rather than what's happening in so many parts the world?

Your reply is too true Snowbelle. That religions cannot see the sense of looking back and reviewing past mistakes is what convinced me of the truth in there being no such thing as god.

Wow, thank you for picking up something in the poem that no one else has.
I'm surprised this war is still going on and has triggered yet another conflict but this is the world we live in.
