Order Thought

The masses might ask, if granted chance,
“Who erased each free man’s thought
That frightens the few enhanced
By the order the right brought?”

They pelt the pens fear does fence
All about the lands lost to doubt
Where wealth’s promise put the tense
On display as it came out.

So order owes not the say
“We find reason to remand
Opposing thought thought to play
To the poor man’s soiled damn hands.”

But thought becomes order’s bait
To denounce themes taught in schools
When schools herald such the hate
That infects thought that once ruled.

The door to the gate opens wide
When the pale skinned should approach,
But color casts some to hide
Their thought’s hue truth had broached.

“Shield order to shy from what
Would expose war’s want!” they cry,
As honest men learn to cut
Attempts to question all why.
