The Lighted side of the Window
The moonlight dances through the glass
bathing one within with its silver glow
Hecate smiles her best tonight
with her stars that shine their brightest
Celestial ties bind my heart
in its strength of silky ribbons
wrapped upon the scars
caused by yesterday's claws that hurts
from this lighted side of the window
I see silhouettes waltzing in their cosmic trance
this metaphorical window to the skies
where stars illuminate with celestial ties.

Just thinking of all the people I know that I lost through the years. September is when my mother passed away, many years ago and recently two of my relatives passed away while in their prime.

I’m sorry for your recent losses and in memory of your mom, I really appreciated the connection of the stars and moon to loved ones who’ve passed away. There is such a bond and a comfort, for me, in knowing their spirit and love is still there but in a different energetic form. Lovely poem.
