Life Of Adventure

for awhile i lived
in green bluff iowa
catacombs in mexico
a cellar growing mushrooms

i ran with anthem sprinters
socialized with vampires
travelled to african savanna
(through the big screen tv)

spent an evening strolling
attired in a wonderful ice cream suit
past the halloween tree
with uncle einar

i was chased by t-rex
while singing the body electric
pathways lit by golden apples of the sun
terrified by child assassins
driven crazy by the weather

played hopscotch
in lafayette
at midnight in june
with burning man illustrated man
dead man and the watchers

dressed in a rorschach shirt
downwind from gettysburg
i caught up on current events
in pages of martian chronicles
i flew the dragon
with the dwarf and
icarus m wright on the trolley
playing poison while considering
fruit at the bottom of the bowl

that’s enough for now
i’ve had tons of other adventures
with my friendly tour guide
