Image for the poem weep the stars

weep the stars

in sacred doom weep of fallen stars
swept up in the moment then crashing to the ground

silent prayers go unanswered
at midnight's glory
confessing to the dead wept secrets
an angel of mercy seeks redemptions from my tears
a pittance of all that I am

in my solemn eve I am alone
detesting the ache
then craving it's honesty

it keens to be so desolate
my soul covets your shine
in my mind a beautiful interloper
greeting me with your divine
in a deeply passionate way
so much that I sigh within
to be so cherished

I whisper to the coming dawn
let my immortality combine with the mortal
so that I may no what it is to be loved by such a man
in a way that is in the moment
and everlasting

drawing our final breaths
on one another's fateful day
predestined to be as one
