magi

my grievous error born
I spoke my madness into being I think
an innocent inquiry took a devious bend
my mind sought the knowledge betwixt magic and miracles

I sought with my spirit what I had no knowledge of
the art of magic really isn't for mortals
it's depths rife with trickery
spirits come with the calling
they are an unruly lot
I didn't wish to disturb the restless

I sought our Father
and not finding him let my soul rise up and out
into unfamiliar territory
I was carried away into a nether realm
I could not return

I was held hostage
,my despair grew
I scream inside

it was dirty the energy employed
I could smell the magic on the air
it was heady and heavy

I would keen inward
the spirit of me rebelled within
to get back to where I was
my soul pressed on

my Father broke my fever
and inside his keep I am better
I will never confuse the nature of magic and miracles again
his summoning power is by divine light and right
