Sun Lion

gravitational pull, self-manifested sun
pull me closer into radiant warmth
kiss my skin with ultraviolet tongue
trails of gold spread within the spit

should my bones break
beneath the weight of lover's galaxy
ascensional recipe we create
fingers tracing a chosen face

molten mouthing lava and lace
in hidden flower creates a lake
a fortress of stone beneath the waves
throne fit for a kingdom when we play

lap the blood from my scars
disintegrate my facade
melting ice forged within my youth
no shielding eyes from the wounds

trapping hands when I hide from you
a welcomed intrusion long overdue
darkness swallowed by the force of your light
I believe when you say it will be alright
