Some of the expressions here are nice.  "Each a different strain of my bleeding heart.  Over a love that has no start."  I like that, because it can pick up, and go wherever, given the proper emotional context.  It could be sadness; it could be potential.  Yeah, you're getting the hang of "gathering meaning" to conciseness.  When you can use a few words, and have several meanings, or emotions, or feelings, you know you're getting good.  Bravo.  Anyway, I can see some growth here.  Keep putting pen to pad!

Thank you! I like that - heaven's link. The friendship was with a chess player and I think we both have very grueling lives, so I'm hoping we will find our way back. If not, I deserve more than a few crumbs in any relationship.

I honestly thought the friendship that was fading away was the sunset until another day, lol.
