Lost without you

Alone I stand on the desolate platform,
Time relentlessly slips away,
In my heart, disbelief takes hold,
Once again, you choose to depart.

Lost in a crossword's embrace,
A man finds fleeting solace,
If only I could find the same,
But thoughts of you consumed my being.

Where do you seek shelter,
When you escape from my presence?
The sun's radiance faded away,
With the departing grip of summer's warmth.

Where do you run, seeking sanctuary,
In the depths of solitary solace?
Tell me, my love,
Where do you flee?

Can't you see the agony it brings,
When you leave me this way?
Words remain empty, hollow,
How I rue the day they were spoken.

You are an elusive phantom,
Forever out of my grasp,
Your visage brings forth tears,
Oh, the ache of my longing.

Where do you seek shelter,
When you escape from my presence?
The sun's luminosity has vanished,
With the loss of summer's embrace.

Where do you retreat,
In eternal solitude's embrace?
Where do you run?
Please, my love, come back home.

On the platform, yearning consumes me,
Awaiting the arrival of the train,
As the night unfolds its melancholy cloak,
I know healing will eventually find me.

But one truth remains unwavering,
I need you beyond measure.
Where do you seek shelter,
When you escape from my presence?
The sun's warmth has vanished,
With summer's bittersweet farewell.

Where do you find solace,
In the depths of isolated sanctuary?
Where do you flee?
Oh, my love, I beg, come back home.
