Love - A Temporary form of insanity.

In the realm of hearts, a tale we weave,
Of love's embrace, where reason takes leave.
For love, dear friend, is a peculiar thing,
A temporary form of insanity it does bring.

When struck by Cupid's arrow so fair,
The mind descends into a frenzied affair.
Logic and caution swiftly retreat,
Leaving emotions untamed, bittersweet.

Oh, love, you trickster with your fleeting charms,
You dazzle and blind, leaving scars on our arms.
In your presence, sanity fades away,
Leaving us adrift, in passion's sway.

We lose ourselves in a lover's gaze,
As if under a bewitching, hypnotic haze.
Every touch, every whisper, sets us aflame,
And we willingly surrender, without any shame.

Rationality becomes a distant friend,
As we plunge headlong, our hearts to defend.
We dance on the edge of a fragile thread,
Knowing full well where this path may lead.

But even though love may drive us insane,
We willingly succumb to its fiery reign.
For within its madness, we find a profound bliss,
A glimpse of eternity in a moment's kiss.

So, let us revel in love's enchanting spell,
For it's the ecstasy we chase, oh so well.
Though temporary, it leaves an indelible mark,
A reminder of the madness that once lit our dark.
