Deserved
my arms hurt
i'm using muscles
casting aside grief
playing hard
my arms hurt
so bad i want to take Advil
but i like the pain
it's an award
my arms hurt
so does my life
the more time i spend
making my arms hurt
the less time i spend anxious
my arms hurt
because i'm not lazy
because i don't give up
because i want to be better
than i was yesterday
my arms hurt
but that's not good enough
my legs need to hurt more too
i'm using muscles
casting aside grief
playing hard
my arms hurt
so bad i want to take Advil
but i like the pain
it's an award
my arms hurt
so does my life
the more time i spend
making my arms hurt
the less time i spend anxious
my arms hurt
because i'm not lazy
because i don't give up
because i want to be better
than i was yesterday
my arms hurt
but that's not good enough
my legs need to hurt more too

Yeah, refined sugar is the devil.
Try water based delicious fruits like watermelon and Mango but limit consumption. Start lifting light weights.
Weight will come off and muscle will build.

Thanks Guru. My inner brat is finally convinced that I do indeed like sweet fruits as much as ice cream (well, almost). My 115 pound sister is a registered dietician. She says as long as my diet is good and I exercise, I should stop "obsessing" about my weight. Reality is once almost all the refined carbs go- not just sugar-, I'll lose 25 pounds and look and feel better.

You want to lose weight slowly.
25 pounds is a lot to lose. To keep it off you need a plan. Restricting empty calories is a start. More protein, less carbs but you need some carbs otherwise no energy. Eliminate high sugar desserts and drinks with high sugar content. Mind you diet drinks and diet foods are worse for you. They put addictive chemicals in them to get you to consume more. Everything in moderation.

When you lose weight too fast you gain it back faster. Don't do any of those keto burn away fat formulas either. Exercise, light weights, less sugar. Smaller meals and portions. Some people eat mini meals more often. Depends on your metabolism. There's no one way. I went from 184 to 171 and have kept it off with light weights, lots of reps. Stretching, walking. Do it 3 times a week. I walk a lot because I don’t drive anymore and live in a walking city. Also my new dog likes long walks. You can still drink alcohol, and eat bad food sometimes but not everyday. Moderation. Consistently on the Exercise. Masturbation for entertainment...

Re. Deserved
Girl, you got this. The pain becomes the new addiction. I started running in my 20s and have damaged every part on my body in the subsequent years. Then cross-trained like a meathead to help prevent damage.
Waking up next-day sore is a reminder that you had enough power and control to push your body somewhere it wouldn’t have gone on its own. You are a fucking badass. Each time you hit Day 3 sore you remind yourself that you’re a fucking badass. Nobody did that workout for you. You got up and made it happen.
Go. You!

Do what you gotta do, but don't get too sore to post your words for us!
Yes, I get slightly selfish and expect everyone to suffer through their ailments just to feed my addictions to read their stuff!
Be determined, or not, we accept you as is. But bravo to you for wanting the upgrades!
