Have A Drink With Me
I pour another round, drown my sorrows.
Can't escape the demons, they'll be here tomorrow.
I feel so trapped, no way out of sight.
The world has left me cold on this endless night.
Drinking with my demons, no way out.
I'm done with the world, gonna stay alone and shout.
I'm not afraid to face the darkest parts of me.
I'll raise my glass and embrace this misery.
I hear them whisper in my ear
All the things that I don't want to hear
I try to silence them but they won't go
The pain and the self-destruction, they just grow
Drinking with my demons, no way out.
I'm done with the world, gonna stay alone and shout.
I'm not afraid to face the darkest parts of me.
I'll raise my glass and embrace this misery.
I know it's wrong, but it feels so right.
To be alone with my demons on this endless night.
It's just me and them, till the sun comes up.
I'll keep on drinking and pray for some luck.

As always tight rhyming and the repetition is on point, tight work with putting pieces out that are relatable

Really just shows how stubborn the choice and decision to drink excessively is. As it gets worse, the demons get worse. I can totally relate. I've always been a bit of an introverted person, and when I drink, I drink by myself (at least recently). I've gone through the whole bout, so I know what you mean. Keep your head up and be thankful for even the smallest of things. Perhaps if you can't control drinking, find another means as to deal with the battle and fight of your mind. Try to be thankful more, when you're sober. It adds a quality of life to living, rather than taking everything for granted, and being ignorant, and never having enough. Anyway, thanks for sharing.
