On the Reeperbahn

The Beatles' Place is ornamented
With a smallish metal construction
A simple structure in respect to the Fab Four

It sits a the entrance of a narrow street
(More like a lane, really), about two blocks long
Clubs of all sorts where sins rule (o.k., kidding)

But along this lane you also find
The St-Joseph Polish Church
On this Sunday fully packed with believers
Dressed in their, yes, Sunday best
Singles, young and old, and families.
Not a single stupid tourist taking pictures and disturbing the peace
Only one tourist there, yours truly but I behaved
(And I do not even own one of those phone gizmos)

It somehow gives you a bit of hope.
Not the entire world is going crazy.
