I like this. There's much talk of the gift of submission, but dominance is a gift too, in the wonderful context you describe.

The clear and defined agreement of unmitigated trust is imperative within a shared dynamic of any sort. I hypothesize even more so, when it comes to certain individuals that participate in a fetishistic lifestyle but most certainly a Dom/s dynamic. The hope is that solid foundation of trust will eventually allow for the overflow of enormous respect and the sprouting of a deep consequential love. There's nothing more powerful or better, imo. Trust is the backbone on which it's all built and is definitely not something to be taken lightly... Just sayin'...
