Why do I Write ?

You write to make the ladies hearts melt like butter.  Then want to give the wild ride of Love.  Keep on writing.

It's something to write rather than type... Perhaps that is art in and of itself although my handwriting suggests I should have been a doctor. lol It's amazing what a bit of encouragement and praise can do... Sometimes the writing does come fast and furious, often that's the best. I would love to write a novel. I already know what it would be about... Never really thought I would be posting anything for anyone to read. I was very surprised that anyone would even read me. There are so many wonderful writers here and I am sad that I have not been able to read recently. It's really great to have you here sharing with us and so many others too.

I love the icy frigid air blowing over me in the darkness from your words. Just beautiful. The night and the cold are for me... along with a glass of wine and loads of passion.

How can you not? Good question, keep writing...  Good luck in the competition! Always like it when someone has something long and hard in their pocket... * cough * lol

I remember the day I wrote it, walking along the river around 6, just me and my then dog Ginger.  Prowling the esplanade looking for cover.  You know what I mean ...

The poems were just starting to come to me.
Out of nowhere, a word, a phrase or a fragment.  That's all I need and the poem gets written.

Stay tuned, this dog still has plenty in his tank.  You'll see, you will come .... I remember

Dear H,

Writers tell stories and sometimes the process is the story.  Until somebody tells me to stop I'll keep penning.  I've had my issues with DUP but you know what, it's a damn good site and we the community are a fine bunch of people and writers on a mission.  I'm grateful !!

We all start somewhere. First writing for yourself then having the guts to share with the world takes a whole
other mind set. We write cause there isn't another option. It's like another form of breathing with words, color, and emotions.

You are a fine inker.  The raw honesty of the form of no form at all sometimes brings out a quality in a write that cannot be overwhelmed by precision. To me when the pencil is sharp and the mind is twirling, well the colors of life are at hand.

Yes, it was a calling that took time to formulate.  I wrote a satirical column for my college newspaper back in the day.  I had fans and detractors but I had a lot of fun doing it.  I wonder if I could find those articles again via the internet  ?

Try to contact your college's library, they should have an Archives department that probably has everything digitally stored. It'd be a fun adventure I'm sure.

I actually did that just now and was able to find a bunch of my articles.  Pretty wild imagination, then and now....
