Sleep Silly Girl

Said I don't know if I've ever been good enough
I'm a little bit rusty, and I think my head is cavin' in
And I don't know if I've ever been really loved
By a hand that's touched me
And I feel like something's gonna give

Matchbox Twenty

Silly silly girl
Did you not forget that fortress around your heart was there for a reason?

Come back to the hidden all will be well and you will be forgiven of high treason.

Silly girl your heart is made of shattered glass
Picked apart by the passerby and tossed in the trash

Don’t you remember scavenging for the broken bits
Putting the pieces together until they fit.

Silly girl your heart is safe here
As long you stay hidden there is nothing to fear.

Silly broken girl put your heart back on its shelf
Lock it up and stay within your self

Silly small girl damaged beyond repair
I hope you finally learned your lesson, there there.

Now sleep silly little one
And don’t ever escape or even try to run.
