The Final Good-Bye
These tears right here I shed for you
My sweet little angel, the one that never flew
Some say that your wings were clipped, others say they never grew
I only know that you melted my heart with a love that was so true
You were a full compass, the eternity of my existence
Everything that a woman could be, my boo, my friend
It’s simply to easy to say that we miss what’s right in our face
There was an angel standing right beside me that I allowed my heart to wast
There’s only so many times that a broken heart can be mended
I had you as my sole star and yet I pretended
That you wasn’t everything that I now admit you was
I rewound my existence to before the big bang and placed it on pause
I can see you now boo and the true gift that you are
I’m reaching across time and space for your hand hoping it’s not to far
Your light is a singularity, a halo moving farther away
Again I’m reaching for your light through the darkness begging you to stay
But my mistakes have been costly, possibly the cost of your wings
Please don’t turn back for me, have no remorse for the tears that your leaving brings
You’re far enough beyond me and what if’s to hear the other angels sing
As the universe closes between you and me, I also heard their voices ring
My sweet little angel, the one that never flew
Some say that your wings were clipped, others say they never grew
I only know that you melted my heart with a love that was so true
You were a full compass, the eternity of my existence
Everything that a woman could be, my boo, my friend
