Fire and Ice

Skulls filled with memories that turned to dust
We were so close, we were right on the cusp
An empty world filled with uninhabited minds
Short lived thrills just to pass the time
What is left after all of this?
A dreamed up waltz, a fiery bliss?
The truth can be ice cold
An invisible wound with pain untold
