She walks in
Into the room
Says "Let's do this again Sis."
My Depression Kitty...
Weighing heavily down
Down upon me
As if she is my only friend
Taunting me
Seducing my very essence
Into dropping
Dropping down
Into
The depressed state
Once again...
Into the room

Author's Note
Ever heard of or seen the series Big Mouth? Well, I never seen it but a friend recently told me about it. This poem is inspired by that show. I am excited to watch it because, it's like they gave the perfect face to things like "depression", "fear", "anxiety", even hormones and so on. I now like to see my own depression as a "Depression Kitty". Makes it much easier to process. Hope you enjoy the read💜

Yes it's behind me. I fought an excruciating battle with depression and anxiety for like half my life. I have found the light. I always enjoy your poetry.
