Composed Rose

I'm the rose that 2Pac composed a poem about
Persevering whether it's a storm or drought
Fighting bouts of depression with rounds of despair
Growing to the point of where I just don't care

I've paid my fair share of dues and sang the blues
My spirit's been battered and my psyche bruised
Continuing to cruise on oceans and waves of life
En route to X destination, there's turmoil and strife

Rife with heartache, physical and mental pain
Marching on through each venue to remain sane
Planes been unsteady; an unrhythmic cadence
Routes been bumpy; I'm seeking recompense

The expense of me caring keeps me seeing red
RED RUM has me thirsting to see someone dead
I'm fed up with living but pride keeps me standing strong
So there'll be no harmonizing bout me in a sad ass song
