My scars
If we were to compare scars,
You'd turn tail and run.
My worst scars are inside,
They don't see the sun.
My scars wake me up,
In the middle of the night.
With a cold sweat,
Screams to turn on a light.
My scars make me who I am,
Doesn't make them good.
If I could turn back time...
I know that I would.
My scars never bothered him,
He saves me from bad dreams,
One kiss from him,
Always silences my screams.
He holds me tight all night,
Never bats an eye,
He keeps me safe while I sleep,
While the world passes us by.
My scars never meant a thing to him,
They didn't change us,
That's why I love my man,
For once, my scars aren't a fuss.
You'd turn tail and run.
My worst scars are inside,
They don't see the sun.
My scars wake me up,
In the middle of the night.
With a cold sweat,
Screams to turn on a light.
My scars make me who I am,
Doesn't make them good.
If I could turn back time...
I know that I would.
My scars never bothered him,
He saves me from bad dreams,
One kiss from him,
Always silences my screams.
He holds me tight all night,
Never bats an eye,
He keeps me safe while I sleep,
While the world passes us by.
My scars never meant a thing to him,
They didn't change us,
That's why I love my man,
For once, my scars aren't a fuss.
