Harmonious Family Dynamic - Second Movement
Grandmother Harp
a flower blossoms
with the strum of each string
confectioner of sweet musical treats
evoking loving memories
like grandma’s serene smile
a baby resting in her lap
whilst from the kitchen wafts
the scent of baking ginger snaps
Baby sister piccolo
emits a bird song sound
incapable of melancholy tones
that flourish in richness,
maturity, and beauty
when into a flute they’ve grown

I love the intimate detail here, the scene of home and hearth and family is warm and resonant.
