Beneath The Stars
The stars above so far from my reach.
Dance in the night so peacefully.
Dreams of dancing up above,
Between the moon, Jupiter and mars.
Beaming pure in the encompassing noire.
If I could reach such heights I wouldn’t be so blue.
I took a leap into the stars aiming for the moon.
But down I fell into a darkness I’d never thought I'd know.
The words left me vacant, oh so long ago.
My soul to pieces has been torn.
Trapped in empty darkness forever more.
In the shadows of the dark, I fell beneath the stars.
The light I once held dear, now forever gone.
Never again to fame.
So there in the shadows, the darkness I became.
Nowhere to run, nowhere to turn,
Fallen to the flames my body burns.
Cannot undo what fate has done,
A battle that cannot be won.
No longer shall this girl remain,
In the shadows the darkness calls my name,
In the shadows, the darkness I became.
