I think of you
I think of you
like a thousand
flowered April
mornings in the
spring
I think of you
like the voices
of stars whispering
the secret name
of God into my
waiting ears
I think of you
like the impossibility
of catching all the
fury in the north wind
I think of you
like the face
of moonlight
searching an
ancient forest
floor for eldritch
magic
I think of you
like a killing
frost arriving
a season early
as the earth
wept and the
roses begged
for mercy
