The Unbearable Weight of Loss

Dear Tim
I’m sorry for your loss
I thought that after months
I’d have the words to say something comforting
But the unbearable weight you must carry
Is just beyond my comprehension

Brother
I know we’ve talked about her last days
Those last few hours you got to spend with her
And that even though you braced yourself
Nothing can ever prepare

You are a good son
A kind-hearted person who is always there for your family
My heart goes out to you
To your fam
To your nan

When we all released those balloons
Watching them go up in the air I felt a silence
A stillness I cannot explain
But seeing those photographs to the track of brown eyed girl..
It made me tear up
That look in your eye as the pictures told a story
Going down memory lane

Happy Birthday Tammy
Rest in paradise
Go be with your dad
Just know
You all raised a great son
