Grieving The Unforgettable
The character he was...
She thought she'd never find
They spent decades together
But it was never enough time
They were young when they met
Even now, she sees that day
And when they got older
She wouldn't let his intrusive thoughts
Get in the way
It's like that saying
She could relate to when his mind was starting to shatter
And even when she couldn't help but mind
Her love for him was all that mattered
In her head replacing the "H" with a "T"
When aloud she'd say "I miss him"
Totally convinced if she'd love another
It would be a sin
All the memories with her "Stud-Muffin" are favorites
But the one that stood out the most, his smile
Thats why she could never treat him like
A doctors note or documented file
He would be sweet
Even after "The Sting", "Tool", and "Metallica"
The passion that they'd have
It felt like a respectful erotica
To her, he was a fairytale
And she memorized every page
For she was his #1 fan
Even when he wasn't on stage
His passing was a shock
Especially after having a beautiful night
But she knows, without a doubt
He didn't give up without a fight
Her heart knows he's still there
She'd walk that 15 miles again any day
She wouldn't care about her feet hurting
Anything to make him never go away
Her admiration for his world travel
And how he lived without thinking anything was regrettable
Makes me not blame her for the for the endless grieving
I mean, how could she not reminisce about a love so pure, and unforgettable?
