Short clever rhyme. Some women may relate to that. Made me think of an alternative rhyme on same theme:
It was "No!" to the stage:
so she went on the page
of a lad's magazine
that was well nigh obscene....

When I wrote this I was thinking of a few cases where parents refused to let their daughters be actresses because they considered it not a respectable profession. I was thinking saying No might be a backward step - if the daughter is defiant enough they may do something the parents might find more shocking (ie out of the frying pan into the fire).
